What Will You Learn?

• In Lesson 1 (6/6/2025), students will begin with a recap of key transformation concepts—reflection, translation, rotation, and enlargement—from both Form 4 and early Form 5 content. Emphasis will be placed on identifying transformation types, describing them using coordinates, and performing transformations on geometric shapes. The lesson will then focus on calculating the area of shaded regions after a transformation, linking spatial reasoning with numerical computation.
• In Lesson 2 (13/6/2025), students will apply their knowledge to SPM trial questions that involve multiple transformation types, including identifying composite transformations and their effects. They will be required to describe transformations using vector notation or coordinate rules and interpret diagrams involving shaded regions and scale factors.
• In Lesson 3 (20/6/2025), students will continue practicing with state trial papers, encountering a wider variety of transformation-based questions that mimic the SPM format. The focus will be on interpretation, diagram analysis, and precision in describing transformations, particularly in multiple-mark questions. Students will develop greater familiarity with marking schemes and how to present full working for maximum marks.
• In Lesson 4 (27/6/2025), students will engage in a comprehensive revision session covering Chapters 2 to 5, consolidating earlier Form 5 content (e.g. Circles, Loci, Graphs) alongside Transformations. This lesson ensures vertical integration of knowledge across chapters and enhances readiness for full-paper assessments. Students will practice mixed-topic questions to test understanding and identify weak areas before upcoming exams.
